Waste Management and Cleanliness Drive by MCL
Subsequent to the previous meeting held with Municipal Corporation Ludhiana regarding the maintenance of Focal Point areas, Today, A Formal Inauguration of the Waste management drive was held. In the presence of CICU President, Upkar Singh Ahuja, Sonam Chaudhary, (Joint Commissioner, MC Ludhiana) inaugurated the drive.

Ludhiana, September 4, 2023: Subsequent to the previous meeting held with Municipal Corporation Ludhiana regarding the maintenance of Focal Point areas, Today, A Formal Inauguration of the Waste management drive was held. In the presence of CICU President, Upkar Singh Ahuja, Sonam Chaudhary, (Joint Commissioner, MC Ludhiana) inaugurated the drive.
Later in the meeting at CICU, Focal point Ludhiana, various issues were discussed with regard to the maintenance of the city. Among those few are as follows:
Solid waste management, Garbage dumping, proper use of compactors fixed at different locations, encroachment drive of the illegal occupied areas.
Sonam Chaudhary has given the direction to SDO, Kamal Ram and XEN, Ranvir Singh to work to be done in time.
Among other major discussions were the water logging problem at Sanatan Mandir that is to be resolved before the festival Janmashtami.
CICU president Upkar Singh Ahuja insisted on Removal of Solid waste management like Building Malwa and rain water harvesting systems.
Meeting was attended by O.P Bassi, T.R Mishra, Honey Sethi, Sanjay Dhiman, Lokesh Jain, Ishwar Singh and others.
