VISHAAD: A Poetic Exploration of Memory and Grief
First Look of Ashish Vidyarthi–Starrer Unveiled
Mumbai (Anil Bedag): When cinema chooses silence over words, it transforms into an experience. The upcoming short film VISHAAD promises just that, as its first look has been officially unveiled, offering a haunting glimpse into a world shaped by memory, loss, and quiet reflection. The film is set to premiere on 16 January 2026 on the Pocket Films YouTube Channel.
Produced by Nilaanjan Reeta Datta under the banner of Finchbill Motion Pictures Pvt. Ltd., VISHAAD is co-directed by Datta and Navnita Sen, who has also penned the layered screenplay. The evocative music by Ashu Chakraborty adds depth to the film’s meditative tone.
The film stars Ashish Vidyarthi as a weary inspector, alongside Rajeshwar and Ketaki Narayan. Set in a quiet town, the story follows a routine investigation that slowly turns into an encounter with buried memories and unresolved grief. With minimalist storytelling and atmospheric visuals, VISHAAD blurs the line between reality and remembrance, promising a deeply introspective cinematic experience.
