Vipin Parmar takes stock of preparations for coming winter session of HP Assembly

Dharamsala, December 8, 2021: Speaker of Himachal Pradesh assembly, Vipin Singh Parmar took stock of the preparations related to the winter session of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly to be held from December 10 to 15, 2021 at Tapovan near Dharamsala on Wednesday. He also inspected the Vidhan Sabha Complex. During this, officers and employees of the Legislative Assembly were present with him.
The Speaker visited the Vidhan Sabha meeting hall, various galleries, chambers and the entire Vidhan Sabha complex and gave necessary directions to the officers.
Vipin Singh Parmar also inspected the rooms and seating arrangements of various ministers and officers.
He asked the officials to ensure compliance of COVID guidelines in the premises during the session in view of the transition of the new variant Omicron of Corona. He said, “During the session only people coming for the work related to the Legislative Assembly should be ensured to enter the premises and unnecessary crowds should be avoided.”
The Legislative Assembly has been set up  near the Chinmaya Tapovan Ashram in Dharamsala and the winter sessions of the government have been held here every year since 2005 . Last year this session was convened in Shimla instead of Dharamsala  due to Covid Pandemic.
On 19 January 2017, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Virbhadra Singh, declared Dharamsala as the second capital of Himachal Pradesh, making it the third state of India to have two capitals after Maharashtra and the Indian-administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
