College of Dairy Science & Technology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University Ludhiana is going to organize an international conference on ‘Recent Advances in Engineering Applications for Sustainable Dairying’ under the aegis of Indian Dairy Engineers Association (IDEA) on October 13-14, 2023. Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-chancellor, mentioned that conference will provide an opportunity for the stakeholders to come together and to find innovative solutions for various challenges such as the need for sustainable farming practices, the reduction of waste, and the enhancement of product quality while ensuring the economic viability of the dairy sector.

Ludhiana, October 12, 2023: College of Dairy Science & Technology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University Ludhiana is going to organize an international conference on ‘Recent Advances in Engineering Applications for Sustainable Dairying’ under the aegis of Indian Dairy Engineers Association (IDEA) on October 13-14, 2023. Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-chancellor, mentioned that conference will provide an opportunity for the stakeholders to come together and to find innovative solutions for various challenges such as the need for sustainable farming practices, the reduction of waste, and the enhancement of product quality while ensuring the economic viability of the dairy sector.
Dr. R. S. Sethi, Dean, College of Dairy Science & Technology and Convener of the conference said that the conference will serve as a platform for experts, researchers, industry leaders, and students to come together to exchange knowledge, ideas, and experiences. The conference will have various scientific sessions that will cover a wide range of topics on industry academia interface. He opined that conference will foster collaboration and inspire new breakthroughs in dairy engineering.
Dr. Amandeep Sharma, Organizing Secretary of the conference said that this IDEA conference is being organized for the first time in Ludhiana and during this two days event different stakeholders of dairy industry and dairy equipment manufacturers will participate. He revealed that more than 100 participants from several parts of the country as well as international speakers are expected to join the conference. Sh. R. S. Sodhi, President of the Indian Dairy Association (IDEA), New Delhi and former Managing Director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul) will be the Chief Guest. It is worth mentioning here that the College of Dairy Science and Technology, Ludhiana, is the only college in the Punjab offering, various job-oriented degree programs in dairy science and technology disciplines.
