Rohtak, October 19, 2026: Students of the Audiography Department at Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA) explored the world of professional filmmaking during a five-day academic visit to Mumbai, gaining first-hand exposure to film sound production and studio operations.

The delegation comprised seventh-semester students Vikram, Anshul, Kavyansh and Rohit, accompanied by Assistant Professor Dilip Ahirwar. The visit included renowned facilities such as Yash Raj Films, Dolby and Gemini Studios, along with leading film industry establishments.

The students also interacted with experienced professionals in film sound and audiography to understand contemporary workflows, technical standards and emerging career opportunities. A visit to Whistling Woods International provided insights into professional training and creative practices in the film industry.

Debashish Roy, head of the Audiography Department under the Faculty of Film and Television, said the industry visit was designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional practice. Exposure to advanced studio facilities and direct interaction with industry experts would help students strengthen their technical skills and prepare for careers in film and audio production, he added.

Roy thanked Vice-Chancellor Dr Amit Arya for his administrative support and encouragement, saying such initiatives strengthen industry-academia collaboration and make education more aligned with evolving industry requirements.
