After having initiated the CSR activity in Mithrakkari, Oorukary, Kandankary, and Vezhapra villages some time ago, we have been able to follow it up with two more water treatment plants in Pacha East Ward 12 in Edathva panchayat, and Mankombu Ward 4 in Chambakkulam panchayat. This indeed is a great success for our Adopt-a-Village programme, and we will continue our efforts to more villages,” said Sunil Balakrishnan, Chief Values Officer and Global Head of Development Center Operations, UST.
A UST team comprising CSR Lead Ramu Krishna and CSR Ambassadors Sreehari and Kiran Mohanan Nair inaugurated and handed over the water treatment plants at two different functions organised in these two villages. The villagers who assembled in large numbers expressed gratitude to UST for ensuring safe and affordable drinking water access. UST had previously handed over RO water treatment plants to the villages of Mithrakkari, Oorukary, Kandankary, and Vezhapra in Kuttanad, Alappuzha.
