US based Junior Chamber India (JCI) organized Management Development Programme at LPU

Jalandhar, July 21, 2018: US based Trainers Academy (JCI Zone 1), working under principles of Junior Chamber International (USA) organized two-day management development programme at Lovely Professional University (LPU). The programme titled as ‘Revitalize the Trainer’ was organized for the Zone & National Trainers of JCI India and LPU staff members. The program was spearheaded by renowned international corporate trainer and business coach Raman Nayar. Former national president JCI India Mukhinder Singh and National Trainer from JCI India Rahul Ahuja also guided the participants. During the training programme 24 trainers were clubbed in 5 groups and provided with novel techniques for further designing effective training programs in their respective areas. The resource persons kept the delegates thoroughly engrossed in the day & night continuous engagement of more than 20 hours’ training.

The delegates worked on the programme designs and had a real-time experience of group dynamics. Training sessions provided participants opportunities for personal development & dynamics, effective communication and goal setting. This all helped participants to speak effectively, learn leadership skills, improve communication abilities and enhance development.

LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal appreciated the Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) at the University for organizing industry relevant management development programmes. Mr Mittal exhorted the Centre to propagate more of such collaborations with industry, professional bodies and NGOs for quality training to staff members and visiting bodies.

Illustrative, with members in about 124 countries including India, Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a non-profit international non-governmental organization of young people. It has consultative status with the Council of Europe, the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, and UNESCO. It encourages young people to become active citizens and to participate in efforts towards social-economic development, international co-operation, good-will and understanding. JCI (India) is the second largest member nation of JCI (international) headquartered in the USA. It has prepared thousands of social and business leaders through intensive project based training activities.

Understanding the JCI activities, all the participants enjoyed the training sessions. One of the participants Puneet Soni expressed:"Two-day training at LPU was a life time experience for me and other participants as well. We learned many new things and we are definitely looking forward to apply the same in our respective life."
