Bangalore, May 12, 2025: Reflecting the high achievements of Greenwood High International School, Grade 4 student Ruslaan Alam Khan, clinched the Championship Trophy (Category Boys - 9) at the U.S. Kids Golf Malaysian Championship 2025 held at the prestigious Glenmarie Golf & Country Club in Kuala Lumpur recently.
The tournament attracted aspiring young golfers from around the world and 77 junior golfers from 16 countries competed in the three-day tournament, where Ruslaan delivered a stellar performance, demonstrating outstanding skill, focus, and determination on the course. This marks a significant leap from last year’s tournament, where he secured the 2nd runner-up position.
The win came on a demanding course, with rain delays, shifting green speeds, and heavy humidity pushing players to their limits. Ruslaan also represented India at the U.S. Kids Golf Thailand Championship 2025, held at the prestigious Black Mountain Golf Course, Thailand, which hosted 135 participants from around the globe. There, he achieved an impressive international score of +4, -3, +8, making him one of the best young performers of the tournament. His victories not only place him among the top junior golfers in Asia but also qualify him for prestigious global events, including the U.S. Kids Golf European Championship, Australian Masters, and many others in the USA.
Sharing his excitement on this achievement, Ruslaan shared, "It feels amazing to come back stronger this year and win the trophy. Competing with talented players from around the world was a great learning experience. I’m thankful for the support from my coaches, parents, and the school."
Speaking on the accomplishment, Mrs. Niru Agarwal, Managing Trustee, Greenwood High International School said: “We are incredibly proud of Ruslaan's incredible performance in a global competition. This win not only reflects his golfing skills but also his commitment to excellence.
