Rohtak, February 12, 2026: On the final day of the “SARANG” Festival, held at the Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), a spectacular Indian Classical Dance performance captivated the audience.

The Parth Hazarika Group from Delhi presented the Assamese dance Sattriya, also known as Hotiya. Assamese theater Artist Parth along with his French wife Perrine, performed the divine acts of Lord Krishna in this classical dance. In this dance, rooted in the Vaishnav Bhakti movement, the artist couple enacted various leelas (pastimes) of Lord Krishna. They presented a splendid integration of facial expressions, hand and body gestures with acting.

In an exclusive interview, Parth, who is associated with NSD, explained that this form of dance is dedicated to the worship of God. His wife, Perine, shared that she had been involved in acting in France. The Indian art world always fascinated her, and she moved to India about five years ago and began learning the nuances of art and acting. During the course, she met Parth, and the two decided to get married. Speaking about the challenges of this field, Perin and Parth said that challenges exist in every area of life, but in this field, there's always something new to learn. Being from the same field enables them to support each other wholeheartedly.
