Unemployed Physical Teachers threshed HP government of stir

Dharamshala: There is a lot of resentment among the physical education teachers towards the Himachal Pradesh government, as government is not filling up the vacant posts for the past two years.

Physical Teachers’ Union vice president Sandeep Ghai said, “Despite repeated demands, neither the department nor the government is doing anything. The unemployed trained physical teachers have met several times with  the Chief Minister, the concerned Minister and Officers and even memorandums have also been submitted, but nothing is being done except the assurances.”

He said that Four thousand posts of physical teachers have been lying vacant for the past two years. Teachers are unemployed, but the government is neither worried about their unemployment nor filling up the vacancies. Physical teachers union have decided that if the government does not undertake their demand in the upcoming cabinet meeting, the physical teachers will sit on a chain hunger strike. He said that this proposed hunger strike will continue till the government fulfils their demands.
