S.S. Johal recalls his long-standing association with Keval Singh Dhillon on occasion
Ludhiana, June 22, 2026: As part of the ongoing Contact with Eminent Persons programme being conducted to mark the completion of 12 years of the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President Nitin Nabin, accompanied by BJP Punjab State President Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon and State General Secretary Anil Sarin, met Padma Bhushan awardee S. S. Johal, former Vice-Chancellor of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), at his residence in Ludhiana.
S.S. Johal, while recalling his long-standing association with Keval Singh Dhillon on this occasion, said that the two of them have regularly engaged in discussions on farmers' issues
During the interaction, the BJP leaders apprised him of the various policy initiatives and measures undertaken by the Central Government to strengthen the agriculture sector and improve farmers’ welfare.
They also held a detailed discussion on agriculture and farming-related issues, seeking his expert insights and valuable suggestions on making agriculture more sustainable, profitable, and economically viable for farmers.
The interaction focused on addressing emerging challenges in the agricultural sector and exploring innovative approaches to ensure long-term prosperity for the farming community.
District President Ludhiana Rajnish Dhiman and Advocate Bikram Singh Sidhu were also present during the meeting.
