India even though being the largest producer of Pharmaceuticals in the world by volume heavily depends on China for about 70 percent of bulk drugs and raw materials for medicines. However the corona virus pandemic has largely impacted the supply of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) in the country.  During these unprecedented times, the pharmaceutical industry has worked in a very integrated manner with the government. And now it is a high time to provide impetus to domestic manufacturers to usher a new era for the country's healthcare and pharma sector and to make India: Self Reliant. However the key points discussed were considerations regarding affordability and availability of API's and other raw materials.

Dr. Bhupinder Gupta from Ayurvedic Clinics, strongly emphasised on the importance of Ayurveda in boosting immunity.
