UILS teams excelled in national level competition

Chandigarh, October 11, 2019: Various teams from the Alternate Dispute Resolution and Client Counselling Board of University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University participated in various national level competitions across India.
A team comprising of Ishaan Loomba (3rd year) and Nandini Verma (2nd year) took part in Vidhikta’s National Client Counselling Competition held at Chanakya Law University, Patna. The team gave a tough competition to 30 other teams and won the second prize along with a sum of
Rs. 12000 presented by the Former Chief Justice of India, Justice Deepak Misra.
In a similar competition held at Rayat College of Law, Ropar Srishti (1st year) and Abhishek Bindal, (2nd year) competed against 16 teams from various renowned law schools and successfully attained the runners up position.
In another competition, a team consisting of three students namely, Arashdeep Kaur (2nd year), Shtantika Mukherjee (2nd year) and Prabhmanjot Singh (4th year) represented the department at a National Level Mediation Arbitration competition held at IFIM college, Bangalore. The team was declared the second best team .The students of UILS, Panjab University have been performing
extraordinarily under the able guidance of the Faculty Chair of the UILS, ADR &CCL Board,
Dr. Shruti Bedi and the Director, UILS Prof. Rattan Singh.
