UIFT&VD, Panjab University, Celebrates Teachers’ Day with Zeal and Enthusiasm

Chandigarh, September 10, 2025: The University Institute of Fashion Technology & Vocational Development (UIFT&VD), Panjab University, Chandigarh, celebrated Teachers’ Day with great zeal, featuring cultural performances, fun activities, and a heartfelt tribute to faculty members.
The celebration, convened by Kirti Sheoran under the guidance of Prof. Prabhdip Brar, Chairperson, UIFT&VD, began with a soulful solo Guru Vandana. This was followed by a group Gidha, a lively Haryanvi duet dance, and interactive games such as Freeze Dance, Shirt and Balloon Balance, and Guess Whose This, which saw participation from both teachers and students.
A special highlight was the cake-cutting ceremony with faculty members, followed by a gifting ceremony where tokens of appreciation were presented to teachers as a mark of gratitude.
Students played a key role in organising the event. B.Sc. 1st year and B.Sc. 3rd year students contributed to decorations, event management, and the creation of a photo booth. Reels and photographs captured the spirit of the day, while M.Sc. 2nd year student Palki Khurana, along with B.Sc. 3rd year students Aanya, Alisha, Ekamjot Kaur, and Gurkiran Kaur, ensured smooth coordination.
The celebration highlighted the enduring bond between students and teachers at UIFT&VD, serving as a heartfelt tribute to the mentors who continue to guide and inspire future generations.
