UIAMS MBA Students Explore AI Impact Through Field Survey at Elante Mall
Students of the University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, conducted a field-based survey at Elante Mall to examine the impact of AI-enabled devices on individuals’ work-life balance. The activity involved third semester students of MBA (Capital Markets), MBA (Business Analytics), and MBA (Banking and Insurance), integrating academic learning with practical exposure.
Chandigarh, 15 April 2026: Students of the University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, conducted a field-based survey at Elante Mall to examine the impact of AI-enabled devices on individuals’ work-life balance. The activity involved third semester students of MBA (Capital Markets), MBA (Business Analytics), and MBA (Banking and Insurance), integrating academic learning with practical exposure.
The survey aimed to assess how artificial intelligence is influencing everyday life and professional routines. Students designed questionnaires and engaged with a diverse group of respondents at the mall, gaining first-hand experience in data collection and public interaction. The exercise also tested their ability to communicate effectively and build rapport in real-world settings.
The activity was conducted as part of the Workshop on Soft Skills under the supervision of Dr. Rini, with support from Director, Prof. Anupreet Kaur Mavi and Training-cum-Placement Officer, Dr. Amandeep Singh Marwaha. Prof. Mavi emphasised that such initiatives strengthen practical understanding and prepare students for professional challenges through experiential learning.
Dr. Rini shared, “True learning goes beyond the classroom. Real-world experiences help students discover their strengths, build confidence, and connect with others.”
The students shared that “This activity pushed us out of our comfort zone. It helped us become more confident and taught us the importance of communication and adaptability.”
The initiative reflects the institute’s continued focus on industry-oriented learning and skill development.
