UIAMS kick started a Seven Days Workshop on Using SPSS and AMOS sponsored by RUSA 

Chandigarh, March 28, 2023: University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS) kick started a Seven Days Workshop on Using SPSS and AMOS sponsored by RUSA (Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan). Panjab University, Chandigarh today. 

More than 32 participants from Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh are participating in this workshop scheduled from March 27-April 2, 2023. The basic aim is to develop acquaintance with modern data handling techniques for gaining organizational and business insights. This workshop is designed to emphasis on the understanding and  providing  hands-on experience for in-depth understanding of statistical tools and its application using SPSS and AMOS.  Highlighting the importance Prof. Monika Aggarwal, Director UIAMS said that the size of global research market in itself states the potential and opportunities in research beyond teaching. The workshop also intends to expose the participants to various research grants and opportunities available for researchers.  

The first day of the workshop had three sessions. Prof. Monika Aggarwal, Director, UIAMS discussed and demonstrated conduct of bibliometric analysis. Prof. Suresh Kumar Sharma, Department of Statistics, Panjab University, Chandigarh shared insights and practicals on Parametric and Non-Parametric tests. Various eminent personalities from diverse fields like Dr. Neeraj Singh, A.C. Joshi Library, Panjab University, Chandigarh Prof. Rishi Raj, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Prof. Sanjeev Gupta, Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Jaspreet Kaur, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, New Delhi Prof. Deepti Gupta, Department of English, Panjab University, Chandigarh, Prof. Upasana Dhanda, SGTB Khalsa College, University of Delhi Dr. Sahil Gupta, Jaipuria School of Business, Ghaziabad, U.P. Dr. Naveen Kumar, Panjab University, Chandigarh, Dr. Renu Lamba, Graphic Era University Dehradun will be delivering lectures in hybrid mode during this course. The inaugural session was coordinated by Dr. Aman Khera, Coordinator, Dr. Manu Sharma Coordinator and Dr. Pooja Arora Coordinator of workshop from UIAMS.
