UHSR Campus to Celebrate 80th Independence Day with Week-Long Patriotic Events
Pt. BDS University of Health Sciences, Rohtak (UHSR) will celebrate the 80th Independence Day with a week-long series of patriotic events aimed at fostering nationalism, unity and respect for India's rich freedom struggle among students.
Rohtak, August 12, 2026: Pt. BDS University of Health Sciences, Rohtak (UHSR) will celebrate the 80th Independence Day with a week-long series of patriotic events aimed at fostering nationalism, unity and respect for India's rich freedom struggle among students.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. H.K. Aggarwal said the university campus has been adorned in the colours of patriotism as the nation marks 80 years of Independence. He emphasized that freedom was achieved through the sacrifices of countless freedom fighters and that it is the responsibility of the younger generation to preserve the country's unity, integrity and democratic values.
Highlighting the schedule, Dr. Aggarwal said a grand Tiranga Rally will be organized on August 13, beginning from Sushruta Auditorium, passing through D-Park, and concluding at the auditorium. Students, faculty members and university staff will participate while carrying the national flag.
On August 14, observed as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, the university will host poster, e-poster and rangoli competitions, along with an extempore speech contest and a special lecture on the theme of the Partition and its human tragedy.
Dr. Manjunath B.C., In-charge of the Public Relations Department, said Vice-Chancellor Dr. H.K. Aggarwal will attend the major events on August 13 and 14 as the chief guest and will felicitate the winners of various competitions.
