UBS, Ludhiana organized induction programme

Ludhiana, September 15, 2021: University Business School, Panjab University Regional Centre (PURC) organized the induction program for its 15th batch of MBA (2021-2023) students. Professor Arti Puri, Director, Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana welcomed the newly inducted students. While addressing the students, Prof. Arti Puri motivated the students to be entrepreneur. She emphasized that MBA programme is not only for the job seekers whereas it offers equal opportunity for the students to be the job provider as well. Mr. Shashi Kapoor, Coordinator (MBA) briefed the students about the department and the pedagogy adopted for the holistic development of students. During the program, two sessions were organized, the keynote speaker for the first session was Amit Jain, Managing Director, Shingora Textiles while the second session was taken by Mr. Rahul Puri, Business Head (Europe), Sterlite Technologies Limited, UK. Professor Ravi Inder Singh and Dr. Ashish Saihjpal extended welcome to Mr. Jain and Mr. Puri, the keynote speaker for the sessions.
Mr. Jain shared his life experiences with the students. He focused that one needs to be futuristic and reactive to the changing need of the business for being successful. While Mr. Puri having an enriched domestic and global exposure with companies like Apple, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Airtel, LG shared the culture differences across the global and how to cope with it as a business professional. Both the speakers had an interactive session with the students regarding the technicalities and new developments underway in the textile and telecom industry respectively. The vote of thanks was extended by Mr. Taranjeet Singh, faculty member.
