UBS Ludhiana organized Induction Programme

Ludhiana, July 10, 2018: University Business School, Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana held an inspiring induction programme for the MBA batch 2018-20. Dr.Preet Deep Singh, Associate Vice-President, Ernst & Young, Gurugram; Mr.Vivek Atray, Ex-IAS, motivational speaker, author, 4 times Tedx speaker; and Mr.Gagan Sharma, Unit Head – HR, Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana were the eminent speakers on the occasion.

Prof.Ravi Inder Singh, Director, PURC welcomed the incoming MBA batch. Addressing to the students, he said, “As a business leader you will be required to lead your organizations through tumultuous economic changes that are taking place at the national and international level. This requires from you initiative, analytical skills and qualities of character like perseverance, dedication, loyalty and hard work”.

Dr. Preet Deep Singh spoke at length and deliberated on capacity building for employability. He highlighted the expectations of the industry from the management graduates and narrated that how an individual can attain the negotiation skills to last their professional and personal relations.

Mr. Atray in his motivating style threw light on the topic of life skills and emotional intelligence. He elucidated the essential life skills required for success. He said that one needs to be patient, persistent, calm, determined, a good communicator and be empathetic. He concluded his talk that giving back to the society is what matters the most.

Mr. Gagan Sharma, Unit Head –HR, Fortis Hospital, highlighted the importance of HR in Healthcare industry. He further focused on the changing trends in the healthcare and opportunities that lies ahead.

The sessions were attended by Dr. Ashish Saihjpal, Coordinator (MBA), Mr. Shashi Kapoor, Coordinator (Final Placements), Mr. Taranjeet Singh, Coordinator (Summer Placements), alumni, the senior students (batch 2018-19) and the staff members of UBS, Ludhiana.
