On the directions of Assistant Commissioner State Tax, Ludhiana-3, Shinee Singh, today two GST registration awareness camps were organised at Mata Rani Chowk, which is known as hub of Electronic goods and Mobile phones and Akalgarh Market which is a pocket famous as wholesale market of  Readymade garments and Hosiery goods.

Ludhiana, June 7, 2025: On the directions of Assistant Commissioner State Tax, Ludhiana-3, Shinee Singh, today two GST registration awareness camps were organised at Mata Rani Chowk, which is known as hub of Electronic goods and Mobile phones and Akalgarh Market which is a pocket famous as wholesale market of  Readymade garments and Hosiery goods. 

During this camp several small scale shopkeepers were educated upon the benefits of GST registration and legal compliances. Various office bearers of different Associations representing Electronics goods, Mobile sets and Readymade garments attended the camps. The officers of State GST Department, 

Ludhiana -3, Sukhwinder Singh, Moti Khan, STOs, Rajesh Kumar Lekhi, Hardeep Singh Ahuja and Rajwinder Singh all ASTOs spread awareness about the legal obligations of a Business man to get himself registered under the GST, Act, 2017 when the threshold limit is crossed as per law. The primary objective of the camps was to enhance the tax base by ensuring compliance with GST regulations among unregistered businesses. The purpose of this meeting was to increase the tax base of the State of Punjab by educating the attendees for getting registrations under GST ACT, 2017. The members of the different Associations were apprised of the fact that the Government of Punjab is always available for redressal of any grievances with regard to the Taxation department. 

They were educated on the importance of getting registered under GST ACT for smooth functioning of their ventures. Various queries were raised by the attendees and were answered by the officers of the department. 

All the attending members were thanked and were assured full help on any issue regarding registration of their businesses for supply of goods and service.
