Two-Day PM Vishwakarma Exhibition-cum-Trade Fair Inaugurated at MSME-DFO, Ludhiana
A two-day “PM Vishwakarma Exhibition-cum-Trade Fair” was inaugurated today at MSME-Development Office (MSME-DFO), Ludhiana, with the objective of providing marketing support to artisans and craftspeople under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. The exhibition is being organized from 22 to 23 February.
Ludhiana, February 22, 2026: A two-day “PM Vishwakarma Exhibition-cum-Trade Fair” was inaugurated today at MSME-Development Office (MSME-DFO), Ludhiana, with the objective of providing marketing support to artisans and craftspeople under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. The exhibition is being organized from 22 to 23 February.
The Exhibition-cum-Trade Fair was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri Gurmeet Singh Kullar, President, Federation of Industrial and Commercial Organisation (FICO). Approximately 100 stalls have been set up by PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries from various districts of Punjab, UT Chandigarh, and neighbouring states including Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir, showcasing their traditional as well as innovative products.
The Chief Guest, along with P. Tilanthe, Deputy Director, RDSDE, Punjab (Guest of Honour); Rajan Gupta, DGM, SIDBI, Ludhiana; Pankaj Kumar Jha, Joint Director & Head of Office, MSME-DFO, Ludhiana; Wazir Singh, Deputy Director; Deepak Chechi, Assistant Director; and other dignitaries, visited the stalls and interacted with the participating artisans and craftspeople.
Addressing the gathering, Gurmeet Singh Kullar stated that artisans and craftspeople play a significant role in the nation’s economic growth and in preserving traditional skills. He emphasized that the PM Vishwakarma Scheme aims to recognize and empower traditional artisans by providing skill training, financial assistance, toolkit incentives, and marketing support. He also highlighted the importance of digital and online marketing and encouraged artisans to leverage the ONDC platform to expand their market reach.
A seminar on the PM Vishwakarma Scheme was also organized during the event, wherein detailed information regarding various components of the scheme—including skill upgradation, toolkit support, credit assistance, and marketing facilitation—was provided to the participants.
The following officers were also present during the programme: Krishan Kumar, Assistant Director; Anupama Rani, Assistant Director; Anil Bahl, Assistant Director; Prateek Kataria, Assistant Director; along with other supporting staff of MSME-DFO, Ludhiana.
The programme will continue on 23rd February 2026. A Special Technical Session will also be organized on the second day, focusing on Marketing Support and various schemes of the Ministry of MSME. During the session, detailed information will be provided regarding the benefits available under different MSME schemes, including support for PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries. Information on Packaging, Branding, Skill Development, and other assistance extended by various Government departments will also be shared.
The exhibition will remain open to visitors on 23rd February 2026 up to 8:30 PM.
