Aam Aadmi Party showed big dreams only to gather votes and pushed Punjab behind in the race for development — Nayab Singh Saini
Says, “AAP did not fulfil its promise of giving ₹1,100 to women in Punjab, whereas women in Haryana are being given ₹2,100 per month.”
BJP will form the government in Punjab in 2027
Ludhiana, February 22, 2026: At the Purvanchal Samman Rally organised by the BJP Purvanchal Morcha in the Gyaspura Mandal of Ludhiana South constituency under the leadership of district president Rajneesh Dhiman, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and BJP state executive president Ashwani Sharma attended as special guests.
Addressing the rally, Saini said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Indian National Congress, which have been in power in Punjab, failed to fulfil even a single promise made to the people of the state. He alleged that both parties showed big dreams only to gather votes and pushed Punjab behind in the development race.
He said the Congress and AAP governments are misleading people through false promises and claimed that the promise of giving ₹1,100 to women in Punjab has not been fulfilled, whereas women in Haryana are receiving ₹2,100 per month. Speaking on farmers’ issues, Saini referred to the Haryana model, stating that in Haryana the entire crop of farmers is purchased at the Minimum Support Price (MSP), and if market prices of vegetables or other crops fall, the government compensates the difference.
The Haryana Chief Minister claimed that Punjab can be made the number one state only under the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging that the Congress harmed the country’s image abroad. He said that in the upcoming Assembly elections scheduled for 2027, the BJP will form the government.
