Two-Day PM Vishwakarma Exhibition-cum-Trade Fair Concludes Successfully at MSME-DFO
The two-day PM Vishwakarma Exhibition-cum-Trade Fair organized at the MSME-Development & Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO), Ludhiana, concluded successfully on 23rd February 2026. The exhibition witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 100 PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries who showcased a diverse range of traditional and innovative products.
Ludhiana, February 23, 2026: The two-day PM Vishwakarma Exhibition-cum-Trade Fair organized at the MSME-Development & Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO), Ludhiana, concluded successfully on 23rd February 2026. The exhibition witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 100 PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries who showcased a diverse range of traditional and innovative products.
Around 2,000 visitors attended the exhibition and purchased products displayed by the artisans and craftspeople. The participants expressed happiness and satisfaction at the overwhelming public response and appreciated the opportunity to market their products directly to customers. Various Government departments and institutions, including India Post, SIDBI, RDSDE, and the Central Tool Room, also set up stalls and provided valuable information and support services to PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries.
The programme was organized by Deepak Chechi, Assistant Director & Nodal Officer, MSME-DFO, Ludhiana, under whose supervision the exhibition was successfully conducted. The event proved to be a great success in promoting local artisans and strengthening the objectives of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
Banking & Review Meeting Session
On the second day, a meeting with Lead District Managers (LDMs) of Punjab and Chandigarh was conducted at the Conference Hall of MSME-DFO, Ludhiana. Several LDMs also joined through Video Conferencing (VC) mode. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Pankaj Kumar Jha, Joint Director & Head of Office, MSME-DFO, Ludhiana.
Ishita Thaman, Deputy Director, MSME-DFO, Ludhiana, interacted with the Lead District Managers regarding pending PM Vishwakarma loan cases with banks. Discussions were held to ensure maximum sanctioning and timely disbursement of loans to PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries.
Awareness Session on Marketing & Digital Empowerment
An Awareness Session on marketing support and strategies for improving marketing capabilities, branding, packaging, and digital outreach was organized in the Auditorium of MSME-DFO, Ludhiana.
During the session:
Deepak Chechi, Assistant Director, welcomed all dignitaries, artisans, and craftspeople and briefed the audience about the objectives of organizing the PM Vishwakarma programme.
Wazir Singh, Deputy Director, delivered a detailed lecture on the PM Vishwakarma Scheme and various schemes of the Ministry of MSME, such as PMEGP.
Gurdeep Singh, Lead District Manager (LDM), Ludhiana, appreciated the efforts of MSME-DFO and assured full cooperation in loan sanctioning. He advised beneficiaries to maintain and improve their CIBIL scores for smooth loan approvals.
Ganga Ram, Director and Marketing Expert, Ludhiana, delivered a detailed presentation on marketing strategies, online selling platforms, and methods to secure orders. He also shared success stories and addressed participants’ queries.
Suman Preet Kaur, Executive Officer, India Post Payments Bank, Ludhiana, gave a comprehensive presentation on e-commerce and digital transactions. She explained various schemes of India Post Payments Bank and resolved queries raised by participants.
Pankaj Kumar Jha, Joint Director & Head of Office, MSME-DFO, Ludhiana, encouraged artisans to avail benefits under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme and other Government schemes. He assured participants that necessary communication would be sent to Headquarters regarding extension of the exhibition duration, as requested by artisans.
The programme was successfully organized with the active support of Wazir Singh, Deputy Director; Deepak Chechi, Assistant Director, Krishan Kumar, Assistant Director, Anupama Rani, Assistant Director; Anil Behl, Assistant Director, Prateek Kataria, Assistant Director; and other officials of MSME-DFO, Ludhiana.
In the evening, certificates were distributed to all exhibitors who had set up stalls during the exhibition held on 22nd and 23rd February 2026. Krishan Kumar, Assistant Director, presented the vote of thanks.
At the conclusion of the programme, the Office of MSME-DFO, Ludhiana, expressed gratitude to all participating PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries and visitors for making the two-day exhibition a grand success. A group photograph with all participants was taken as a memorable conclusion to the event.
