Chandigarh, September 27, 2025: The SAE Club, UIET and Terafac Company, in collaboration with UTECHNOS, DIC, IIC, and the PU Incubation Centre, organised a Two-Day Brains and Bots Hackathon at UIET, Panjab University on 26 and 27 September 2025.
 
The hackathon brought together 80 enthusiastic delegates from across Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Jammu, Punjab, and the Chandigarh region, fostering an environment of innovation, creativity, and problem-solving in the domains of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Automated Manufacturing.
 
 
Earlier, the event commenced with a Welcome Address by Prof. Shankar Sehgal, Event Coordinator, followed by a traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony. Distinguished dignitaries graced the occasion, including Prof. Amit Chauhan, Dean Student Welfare, who encouraged students to participate more actively in such innovative events alongside regular academics. Prof. Sunil Agrawal, Acting Director, UIET, highlighted the importance of focusing on real-world applications and mechanisms development beyond coding.
 
Adding an industry perspective, Amrit Singh, Co-Founder & CEO of Terafac, shared his insights on the role of Artificial Intelligence in Robotics, emphasizing its importance for accurate and precise automated manufacturing solutions. As a major highlight, TERAFAC sponsored a prize pool of ₹75,000, rewarding the most innovative and impactful projects developed during the hackathon.
 
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Prof. Naveen Aggarwal, Event Coordinator, who acknowledged the collaborative efforts of all partners, mentors, and participants in making the hackathon a grand success.
 
The hackathon not only provided a platform for young innovators to showcase their technical prowess but also strengthened the academia–industry partnership, paving the way for future advancements in AI-driven robotics.
