TVH’s Short Film “CHOICE” Recognized with Filmfare Shorts Nomination 2025

New Delhi, December 17, 2025: The Visual House (TVH) is proud that its short film “CHOICE” was shortlisted for the People’s Choice Award at the Filmfare Shorts Awards 2025. This nomination is a noteworthy artistic achievement for the Delhi-based firm, proving & demonstrating their capabilities in developing narrative-driven, emotionally complex storytelling.
Written & directed by Deepmala, Founder & CEO of The Visual House, “CHOICE” addresses the complexity of modern relationships, personal choices, and societal expectations. Starring Anupriya Goenka as Meera and Karan Singh Grover as Kabir, “CHOICE” leans on understated yet powerful performances that communicate more through silence than speech. Grover’s introspective presence and Goenka’s assured, clear-eyed energy set the tone for a narrative built on emotional tension rather than dramatic excess. Their dynamic reveals itself in fleeting expressions, hesitant pauses and unspoken thoughts, giving the film a contemporary realism that feels both intimate and layered.
The story follows Meera’s visit to Kabir’s home; a meeting grounded in purpose but unfolding in unexpected ways. As the two navigate a conversation that shifts between vulnerability and guardedness, the film gradually exposes the biases and quiet moral judgments society places on gender, autonomy and desire. “CHOICE” uses stillness as a narrative device, exploring the push and pull between personal truth and societal expectation, and inviting viewers to confront the grey spaces that define modern relationships.
Reflecting on the journey, Deepmala, Founder of TVH said: “Being nominated for the People’s Choice Award is a moment of pride for our team. ‘CHOICE’ has always been about creating conversations, connecting with audiences, and telling stories that matter. The nomination itself is a recognition of the creativity, dedication, and heart of everyone involved.”
For The Visual House, this selection serves as more than a creative endorsement. It signals a shift towards building a deeper cultural footprint. It demonstrates that the agency’s storytelling sensibilities extend well beyond the structured world of corporate narratives. “CHOICE” is a reminder that TVH is equally invested in stories that challenge, question and resonate at a human level.
