True education lies in balancing modern education with Indian culture and scientific thinking. These views were expressed by Dr. Virender Singh Chauhan, Director of the Haryana Institute of Rural Development (HIRD), at the annual prize distribution ceremony held at the junior wing of the local SDMN Vidya Mandir.

These views were expressed by Dr. Virender Singh Chauhan, Director of the Haryana Institute of Rural Development (HIRD), at the annual prize distribution ceremony held at the junior wing of the local SDMN Vidya Mandir.
General Secretary of the education committee, Shiv Nath Kapoor welcomed Chief Guest Dr. Chauhan and Union Minister Manohar Lal's special representative, Kavinder Rana, with a bouquet of flowers. The patriotic, religious, and cultural presentations by the young students captivated the audience.
Chief Guest Dr. Chauhan said that India's civilization and knowledge traditions are extremely ancient and rich. Citing examples, he explained that the tradition of surgery existed in India thousands of years ago. The knowledge imparted by our ancient texts and Ayurvedic scholars in the field of medicine continues to be a source of inspiration for the world even today.
Giving a message of love for the motherland, the HIRD Director cited the example of Lord Rama, saying that even after conquering the golden Lanka; he refused to stay there because he deeply loved his motherland, Ayodhya. He emphasized that every person should have respect and love for their motherland, culture, and traditions.
Wishing everyone a Happy National Science Day, Dr. Chauhan paid tribute to Nobel Prize winner Dr. Chandrashekhar Venkat Raman. He encouraged students to advance in the field of science and research and contribute to the country's development. He also praised the children's presentations.
In his welcome address, Shiv Nath Kapoor, General Secretary of the Education Committee, said that this school, possibly the oldest institution in the region, has approximately 2,000 students.
Union Minister Manohar Lal's special representative, Kavinder Rana, urged students not to blindly follow the race for modernity, emphasizing that children should be given knowledge of their culture and values along with modern education.
All the children who performed on stage were honored with mementos. During this, a large number of parents, staff members and students including Suraj Dua, Gyan Chand Arora, Subhash Trehan, Surendra Bhatia, Ravindra Mehra, Principal Rekha Chauhan and Deepika Juneja were present.
