National Science Day at BMU gives the Message of Women Empowerment
National Science Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Baba Mastnath University. This year's theme was "Women in Science - Catalysts for a Developed India." The program aimed to highlight the role of women in science and research and inspire young people to develop a scientific mindset.
Rohtak, February 28, 2026: National Science Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Baba Mastnath University. This year's theme was "Women in Science - Catalysts for a Developed India." The program aimed to highlight the role of women in science and research and inspire young people to develop a scientific mindset.
Dr. Sonia and Dr. Meenakshi inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Faculty members, research scholars, and students from various departments were present.
Keynote speaker, Prof. Praveen Bhatt (HOD Physics), highlighted the importance of National Science Day and said that the participation of women scientists is essential in building a developed India. He urged students to come forward in the field of research and innovation. Prof. Sunita Dahiya, emphasizing the need for gender equality in science, said that women should have equal opportunities in education, research, and technological development, only then will the country progress as a whole.
Dr. Vikas Bhardwaj (HOD Zoology), highlighted the historical contributions of women to science, recalling the work of scientist Rosalind Franklin. He said that the achievements of women in science are a source of inspiration for the new generation. Dr. Ravi Rana (HOD Chemistry and Dean Faculty of Science), called for a broad perspective in scientific research. Dr. Manoj Kumar Verma described the true spirit of National Science Day as promoting scientific thinking and a research culture.
Students enthusiastically participated in poster presentations, speech competitions, and science quizzes. Participants who excelled were honored with certificates and prizes.
