Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar conducts surprise inspection of Ludhiana Bus stand

Ludhiana, February 8, 2026: Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar on Sunday evening conducted a surprise inspection of the Amar Shaheed Sukhdev Inter-State Bus Stand and assessed facilities, gathered feedback from passengers.
During the visit, Laljit Singh Bhullar held direct conversations with commuters, listened to the difficulties they face during travel, and took detailed feedback about bus services, facilities, and overall experience at the bus stand. He also interacted with shopkeepers operating at the bus stand and instructed them to prioritize providing fresh and hygienic food items to passengers and to maintain strict cleanliness in and around their shops.
The Minister personally inspected the workshops and other operational areas of the bus stand. Expressing strong dissatisfaction with the current state of cleanliness, he directed the officials present to immediately launch a comprehensive cleanliness campaign at bus stand and make it completely free of litter and garbage.
Bhullar emphasized daily cleaning and regular maintenance must be ensured at the bus stand and service delivery should be made more efficient and time-bound. The aim is to create a clean, hygienic, and passenger-friendly environment at all bus stands. He made it clear that any laxity or negligence in maintaining cleanliness and basic facilities will not be tolerated.
The Transport Minister also issued instructions to General Managers of all bus stands across Punjab to ensure that no effort is spared in keeping these public spaces neat, clean, and well-maintained. He warned that strict action will be taken against any laxity.
Calling upon the public, Bhullar said that the success of such cleanliness and improvement initiatives depends heavily on public cooperation. He appealed to passengers and citizens to support the government’s efforts by avoiding littering and maintaining civic discipline.
