Punjab Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond has expressed deep grief over the untimely demise of Manjot Singh (35), son of renowned Punjabi folk singer and lyricist Pali Detwalia.
Chandigarh, April 29, 2026: Punjab Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond has expressed deep grief over the untimely demise of Manjot Singh (35), son of renowned Punjabi folk singer and lyricist Pali Detwalia.
Sond said that singer Pali Detwalia has long been serving Punjabi culture and raising awareness about social evils through his songs. He said that the sudden demise of Mr. Pali Detwalia’s young son is an irreplaceable loss for the family.
Sond further said that no words can console the bereaved family, but the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, stands with them at every step during this hour of grief.
The Cabinet Minister prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and for strength to the bereaved family, friends, and loved ones to bear this irreparable loss.
