“Timeless Impressions” by PCTE Journalism Students

‘Timeless Impressions’- A Visual Arts Exhibition was organised by the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication in association and Visual Arts Club at PCTE on 2nd May. The exhibition featured 170 pictures, all clicked by Journalism students. The inauguration was done Jagjit Singh- SONY Artisan from Mumbai and Vinay Pai from SONY India Pvt. Ltd. It was sponsored by Gupta Studio Pvt. Ltd.

Ludhiana, May 2, 2023: ‘Timeless Impressions’- A Visual Arts Exhibition was organised by the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication in association and Visual Arts Club at PCTE on 2nd May. The exhibition featured 170 pictures, all clicked by Journalism students. The inauguration was done Jagjit Singh- SONY Artisan from Mumbai and Vinay Pai from SONY India Pvt. Ltd. It was sponsored by Gupta Studio Pvt. Ltd.
 

Top schools from the city were invited to be a part of the exhibition and the exclusive workshop conducted by SONY India. Mr. Jagjit Singh, an ace commercial photographer addressed the workshop and guided students about this creative field of photography.


The exhibition showcased the talent of young enthusiasts who got an opportunity to display their clicks. Pictures showcasing historical culture, architecture, nature, landscapes, wildlife, products, candid, light and shade, exuberant joy, etc. were put up on display. It also showcased the photo features, college newsletters, magazines and flyers created by the media students. Not only this, videos, documentaries and short films shot and edited by the students were also a part of this visual arts exhibition.

 
There was a live orchestra by another pool of talent from the Journalism department to entertain the audience visiting the exhibition in Crimson Hall.
 

The exhibition was organized and managed by the students of the department. Arsh Battish and Jashan Rajput who led the team quoted "To put up such an exhibition was our dream and its success is a result of the efforts of our entire team and guidance by the faculty." Visitors were enamoured by the photo display and liked the theme of the exhibition.


Dinesh Kumar- Dean, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication congratulated all the students and faculty members who were a part of this exhibition.


Dr K.N.S.Kang congratulated Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication Department of PCTE for holding this event. He further added that we at PCTE do believe that extracurricular activities can infuse a fresh lease of enthusiasm and motivation in students. He also encouraged students to participate in more such events.
