Three held with 6.255 kg heroin
Three drug smugglers were arrested with 6.255 kg of heroin during an operation by the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) near Saddu Shah Wala village in the Arif Ke area.

Ferozepur, September 24, 2026: Three drug smugglers were arrested with 6.255 kg of heroin during an operation by the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) near Saddu Shah Wala village in the Arif Ke area.
SSP Bhupinder Singh said the CIA team laid a trap near the village grain market on the basis of inputs and nabbed Sukhchain Singh (40) of Jakhrawa village in the Sadar area, Resham Singh alias Kakkar (54) of Bhala Faraya Mall and Jivan Nath alias Jogi Karnail Singh (25) of Langeana village.
During investigation, it came to light that the consignment had recently been received by the main accused Satnam Singh alias Satti of Jakhrava village and a juvenile. Sukhchain and Resham were allegedly on their way to distribute the consignment near Saddu Shah Wala when they were arrested.
The SSP said 6.255 kg of heroin was recovered from the accused during checking.
A case under Sections 21, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Arif Ke police station (FIR No. 119, Dated 22.09,2026)
According to the SSP, Satnam used drones to receive heroin consignments, while Resham and Jivan Nath used to sell the drug further. Sukhchain, Resham and Jivan Nath have been arrested, while Satnam and the juvenile are yet to be arrested.
Jivan Nath, Resham, Satnam and the juvenile have already been booked under the NDPS Act at various police stations, the SSP added.
