Chandigarh March 28, 2023: The Department of Public Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh organized a Three-Day Workshop on “Statistical Methods” for Ph.D. Research Scholars on 20th, 21st and 27th March. Around 18 Research Scholars from various Social Sciences departments like Public Administration, Political Science, Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology and Human Rights and Duties participated in the workshop. Dr. Pooja Soni, Assistant Professor, University Business School, Panjab University, Chandigarh was the Resource Person.
She imparted hands-on training to participating candidates on the topics:
• Measures of Central Tendency; Standard Deviation; and Shapes of Distributions,
• Correlation and Regression Analysis
• Sample Size, Standard Error of Mean; Introduction to Hypotheses and Framing Hypotheses; Introduction to Hypothesis Testing: 2 Sample t-Test
The participating research scholars gained immensely from the workshop.
