Three-Day AICTE-Approved Interactive Workshop on Universal Human Values Commences at Panjab University
A three-day Offline Interactive Workshop-cum-Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Universal Human Values (UHV), approved by All India Council for Technical Education, was successfully conducted at the MMTTC, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Chandigarh, March 20, 2026: A three-day Offline Interactive Workshop-cum-Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Universal Human Values (UHV), approved by All India Council for Technical Education, was successfully conducted at the MMTTC, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The programme was jointly organized by the UHV Cell, UIET, and the Department of Youth Welfare, Panjab University, and witnessed active participation from 60 delegates representing various universities and institutes from Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh.
The AICTE Resource Person, Jitender Narula, delivered insightful sessions stressing the importance of holistic, value-based education beyond technical skills. He elaborated that a balanced life rests on physical facilities, meaningful relationships, and right understanding, while also underlining the critical distinction between the self and the body. He noted that unhappiness stems from excessive focus on material aspects and lack of right understanding, whereas true happiness lies in balanced and harmonious living.
The programme was conducted under the patronage of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Renu Vig, whose guidance and support were instrumental in the successful organization of the event.
The workshop received overwhelming appreciation from all participants for its interactive approach and meaningful content, reinforcing the importance of integrating Universal Human Values into education for the holistic development of individuals.
