Sony SAB's Pushpa Impossible is striking an emotional chord with audiences through its heartfelt storytelling and compelling characters. As Pushpa (Kaurna Pandey) navigates one challenge after another, Shanaya's (Muskaan Bamne) marriage to her son has added another layer of emotional complexity to the family's journey.
In the upcoming track, emotions get the better of Pushpa during a heated confrontation with Shanaya, leading her to slap her. The incident leaves the entire family shocked, but what follows reflects Pushpa's unwavering values. Unable to forgive herself for her actions, she walks into a police station and files a complaint against herself, believing she must be held accountable. While the scene demanded emotional intensity on screen, Karuna was nervous about filming the slap and constantly checked on Muskan's comfort, while Muskan admits that although Shanaya never saw the slap coming, she felt completely at ease knowing she was sharing the scene with Karuna.
Talking about the scene, Karuna Pandey said, “This was one of those scenes that stayed with me for a long time. As Pushpa, I knew she wasn't slapping Shanaya out of anger, but because she completely lost control in an emotionally overwhelming moment. The very next second, she's consumed by guilt because that's who Pushpa is. She always believes in taking responsibility for her actions, no matter how difficult the situation is. Even while preparing for the scene, I kept thinking that this is something Pushpa would never consciously do, which made it even more emotionally challenging to perform. I was honestly nervous before filming the slap because I didn't want to accidentally hurt Muskaan. We discussed the scene in detail, rehearsed it carefully and after every take, my first instinct was to check if she was okay. Thankfully, she was extremely supportive and that made filming such an intense sequence much easier.”
Talking about the scene, Muskan Bamne shared, “For Shanaya, the slap comes as a complete shock because she never expects Pushpa to react that way. In that moment, she's hurt not just physically but emotionally too. As an actor, I knew the scene demanded honesty, but I also knew I was in safe hands. It is a very important moment in Shanaya and Pushpa's bond. There was complete trust between us and that is what helped us perform the scene with the honesty it deserved.”
