The three-day annual fair commemorating the holy memory of Siddha Shiromani Baba Mastnath was formally inaugurated on Monday at Baba Mastnath Math in Asthal Bohar. Thousands of devotees lined up outside the Samadhi Temple from early morning on the first day of this grand fair, which runs until February 25th. Devotees from far and wide bowed their heads and prayed for happiness and prosperity.

Rohtak, February 23, 2026: The three-day annual fair commemorating the holy memory of Siddha Shiromani Baba Mastnath was formally inaugurated on Monday at Baba Mastnath Math in Asthal Bohar. Thousands of devotees lined up outside the Samadhi Temple from early morning on the first day of this grand fair, which runs until February 25th. Devotees from far and wide bowed their heads and prayed for happiness and prosperity.

Monday early morning, Mahant Balaknath Yogi, the Math's head priest, inaugurated the fair with a ritualistic Aarti followed by special prayers and Vedic chants. Following the Aarti, the Math premises resounded with chants of "Jai Baba Mastnath," and the darshan was opened for devotees, where the flow of faith continued throughout the day. A large number of devotees also participated in the evening bhajans and aarti.

The Samadhi Temple located in the monastery complex, adorned with flowers, arches, and attractive tableaux, was decorated with fragrant flowers and garlands of lamps. The grandeur of the complex, illuminated with colorful lights, is a special attraction for devotees, especially at night. The presence of saints and mahants of the Nath sect, including Naga sadhus, made the event special. During the discourse session, the saints elaborated on Baba Mastnath's penance, sacrifice, and social service.

On the first day, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri of the Juna Akhara visited the Samadhi Temple. Former MP Sunita Duggal, Narnaul MLA Om Prakash Yadav, and Chandigarh Director General of Police Sagar Preet Hooda also visited the fair and offered prayers at the Samadhi site and received blessings.

 

DGP Sagar Preet Hooda also toured the monastery complex. Mahant Balaknath Yogi gave him information about the Baba Mastnath Residential Sainik School and various faculties of Baba Mastnath University, including pharmacy.

Mahant Balaknath Yogi inaugurated the new operation theater equipped with modern machines at the Eye Hospital located on the monastery premises with chanting and rituals. A large feast has been arranged for the devotees on all three days of the fair. In addition, extensive arrangements have been made for the distribution of prasad, drinking water, medical assistance, and security. The administration and monastery management have made special arrangements to keep the crowds manageable so that the devotees do not face any problems.

Mahant Balaknath Yogi, describing this fair as a symbol of religious tradition as well as service and social unity, appealed to the devotees to maintain discipline and actively participate in the events. Saint discourses, religious rituals, and cultural programs will be organized in the coming days.
