The third evening’s play highlighted the problem of groundwater versus packed water

Bathinda, October 4, 2022: On the third evening of the 15-day 11th National Theater Festival being organized by Natyam Punjab in association with North Zone Cultural Center Patiala, Punjab Sangeet Natak Akademi, Haryana Kala Parishad, and Sangeet Natak Akademi at MRSPTU Campus Bathinda, the team from Punjab Sangeet Natak Akademi presented play Dushman, a Punjabi adaptation of the play written by Norwegian writer Henrik Ibsen, under the direction of Shiromani playwright Kewal Dhaliwal. The play was about the water problem that our groundwater is getting contaminated. Packed water is dangerous but the packaging project is a gold mine for capitalists and politicians from which they are earning crores of rupees but there is no concern about its impact on people's health.

The distinguished guests who arrived on the occasion started the evening by lighting the lamp, which included Dr. GP S Brar, Registrar, MRSPTU, Jaspal Mankheda, Associate Member, Punjab Sahitya Akademi, Chandigarh, along with Arijit Goyal a well-known social worker from Paris City Bathinda, and art lover Ashok Kansal, MD Mahashakti Energy Limited, who got impressed by the hard work and dedication of the Natyam team and announced financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh and 51 thousand respectively.
