“That mix of drive and softness is what made Antara irresistible to play,” Malhaar Rathod on Her Role in Amazon MX Player’s Aukaat Ke Bahar

Mumbai, December 12, 2025: Set against the charged atmosphere of a Delhi college, Amazon MX Player, Amazon’s free streaming service, dives into young ambition, ego, and the messy tug-of-war that shapes campus life with its youth drama Aukaat Ke Bahar. At the heart of it sits  Antara, a senior who walks with confidence and clarity on the outside, yet carries a quiet emotional world within. Boasting a powerhouse cast featuring Elvish Yadav, Malhaar Rathod, Nikhil Vijay, Hetal Gada, and Keshav Sadhana in pivotal roles, the show captures the chaos, charm, and relatable layers of young adulthood in all its contradictions.

Malhaar Rathod, who plays Antara, says the character hooked her instantly. She shared, “Antara isn’t built on a single note. She looks sharp, sorted, and ambitious, but underneath that polish is someone navigating doubt and vulnerability. Stepping into her felt familiar,  a young woman who handles responsibility with confidence but is still learning the shape of trust, love, and her own boundaries. That mix of drive and softness is what made Antara irresistible to play, and it’s what I believe gives Aukaat Ke Bahar its emotional honesty.”

Digging deeper on Antara’s constant tug-of-war between responsibility and emotion, Malhaar adds, “That duality was actually the most exciting part of playing her. Antara believes in clarity and control, but life and love rarely cooperate with those rules. Portraying her meant constantly shifting between her focused, responsible version and the parts of her that feel conflicted or vulnerable. Showcasing those small cracks beneath her strength challenged me, but it also made her feel real. I hope the audience feels that authenticity too.”

The series lets Antara’s inner landscape unfold through small, grounded moments, the kind that reveal how ambition and emotional discovery often run side by side without warning.
