Boys’ Hostel No. 6, Panjab University, organised a Table Tennis Tournament to encourage sports activities and a healthy lifestyle among students. Students from various departments actively participated and showed great enthusiasm during the event.

Chandigarh, January 28, 2026: Boys’ Hostel No. 6, Panjab University, organised a Table Tennis Tournament to encourage sports activities and a healthy lifestyle among students. Students from various departments actively participated and showed great enthusiasm during the event.
Matches were held in both singles and doubles categories. In the singles matches, Mohit Jindal won first place, Udbhav secured second place, and Aryan Chauhan stood third. In the doubles matches, Aryan and Udbhav won first place, followed by Gursimran and Vipan in second, and Mohit and Pranav in third.
Earlier, the event was inaugurated by Prof Amit Chauhan, Dean Student Welfare (DSW), Panjab University. He motivated students to take part in sports for physical fitness, mental well-being, and overall personality development.
Dr Anuj Kumar, Hostel Warden also inspired students by highlighting the importance of discipline, teamwork, and maintaining a balance between academics and sports.
Pratimaan Tripathi, Student Coordinator, actively assisted in organising and managing the event, ensuring smooth coordination and active student participation.
