Rohtak, September 9, 2026: Acting students of Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA) showcased the importance of body language, physical control and fitness through a body culture demonstration at the Acting Studio.
Eleven students of the third semester of the Acting Department, Faculty of Film and Television, presented techniques and physical exercises learnt during a 30-day workshop conducted by actor and theatre practitioner Prerna Joshi.
Through group performances, the students demonstrated balance, body control, coordination, energy and confidence. They also showed how an actor can alter posture, movement and gestures according to different characters and situations.
The demonstration highlighted that acting goes beyond dialogue delivery and facial expressions, with the entire body serving as a powerful tool of expression. The students said physical fitness and control are therefore essential for actors.
Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha, members of the SUPVA fraternity and students attended the demonstration and applauded the performers for their disciplined and energetic presentation.
