SUPVA Students get Tips on Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment at Entrepreneurship Awareness Workshop

An entrepreneurship awareness workshop was organized by the Incubation Center of the Department of Design at the Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), Rohtak. During the event, tips regarding entrepreneurship and self-employment were shared with the students, and an 'Idea Hunt' session was also conducted among the students.

SUPVA Students get Tips on Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment at Entrepreneurship Awareness Workshop

Rohtak, March 13, 2026: An entrepreneurship awareness workshop was organized by the Incubation Center of the Department of Design at the Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), Rohtak. During the event, tips regarding entrepreneurship and self-employment were shared with the students, and an 'Idea Hunt' session was also conducted among the students.

During the workshop, R.K. Singh from the MSME Technology Center (Rohtak), Rahul (Industrial Extension Officer from the State Government's MSME Department), and WCA Shiva Goyal provided students with information regarding various government schemes designed to encourage self-employment and entrepreneurship. The students were informed that they could achieve financial self-reliance by establishing Micro and Small Enterprises (MSMEs). The experts encouraged students to start their own business by taking advantage of MSME schemes. The expert speakers also shared insights regarding entrepreneurial opportunities, government schemes, startup strategies, and procedures for availing financial assistance.

Dr. Shelly Khanna, Faculty Coordinator (FC) of the Department of Design emphasized the importance of innovation, self-reliance, and skill development in her address. She mentioned that the objective of the workshop was to make students aware about entrepreneurship and startup opportunities. Through this, students learned about government schemes, business opportunities, and how innovation is important for young people.

During the 'Idea Hunt' session, students presented their business ideas. Earlier in the program, Dr. Ajay Kaushik, Dean of Academic Affairs, delivered the welcome address. Faculty members, students, and other staff members were present on the occasion.
