SUPVA Films Shine at IFFH, Win Two Top Awards
Two student films produced by the Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA) won honours at the International Film Festival of HIFA (IFFH).

Rohtak, September 21, 2026: Two student films produced by the Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA) won honours at the International Film Festival of HIFA (IFFH).
Whispers of the Horse won Best Student Film (Indian), while Navya Hayaran was named Best Director for Jangli Rani. Festival chairman and actor Yashpal Sharma presented the awards. SUPVA Registrar Dr Gunjan Malik Manocha was also present.
According to FC Mahesh TP, Faculty of Film and Television, both films were produced by SUPVA as part of the students’ curriculum, with students handling key roles including acting, music, costume, art direction and filmmaking.
Directed by Tushar, Whispers of the Horse is set against the backdrop of the 2021 lockdown and follows a young man torn between family responsibilities and his dreams of freedom. Jangli Rani, directed by Navya Hayaran, explores exploitation and dehumanisation hidden behind the glamour of the film industry.
Vice-Chancellor Dr Amit Arya described the twin honours as a proud achievement for the university.
