Students visit at Jang-e-Azadi Memorial Museum and Gurdwara Gangsar Sahib in Kartarpur

Jalandhar, May 11, 2022: Department of History of PCM.S.D College for Women, Jalandhar in collaboration with Department of Fine Arts made a historical cum educational  visit to Jang-e-Azadi Memorial Museum and Gurdwara Gangsar Sahib in Kartarpur. In which almost  hundred students  visited above mentioned places. 
Firstly they visited at Jang-e-Azadi Memorial Museum.  This Memorial, envisioned as the perfect tribute to the innumerable sacrifices of the freedom fighters during independence movement. The purpose of this excursion was to familiarize students  about the historical and cultural past of Punjab. Students also received an opportunity  to visit  Gurudwara Gangsar Sahib. This is a holy place that  has been built in rememberance of the 5th Guru - Shri Guru  Arjun Dev ji and  the 6th Guru- Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib ji.
The members of the Managing Committee and the Principal Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Prashar applauded the efforts of the Departments for successfully organizing a trip.
Dr.Renu Bala, Harsimrat Kaur and Amandeep Kaur accompanied the students. The visit proved to be very beneficial for the students.
