Merit holders take admission in Biotechnology course at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Jalandhar, June 24, 2025: Catering the need of society, Lyallpur Khalsa College is a premier institution of Northern India. PG Dept of Biotechnology of the college, which is founder dept in Punjab which started biotechnology since 2001. Based on reputed faculty and wide state of art infrastructure, LKC is the only college in Punjab which is offering MSC degree in Biotechnology under GNDU. Under this umbrella, it is proud moment for the college that the three merit holders students from PSEB (Punjab school educational board) namely: Kareena Bharti with 95% marks, Khsushboo with 95% marks and Simranjit Singh with 94% marks joined UG course in Biotechnology in the prestigious Lyallpur Khalsa College campus. Their decision underscores the growing demand for biotech education and college reputation as a premier institution for scientific studies. Students said that biotechnology is the emerging area in the field of medical sciences and technology. Students said that they choose LKC for its exceptional biotechnology program and the chance to learn from experts. The college reputation and infrastructure convince them that it’s the ideal place to start their currier. Students have mentioned that since biotechnology course is the latest and updated emerging area, they want to excel in the area of research and development in pharmaceutical industries under the umbrella of Biotechnology. Students mentioned that it is practical field with new and innovative skill based courses. They said that if we are able to tackle worldwide problem of COVID-19, it was due to biotechnology which itself is combo of Biology plus technology. Dr Suman Chopra, Principal of the college also extended warm welcome stating, “we are delighted to have such bright minds joined our BSC biotechnology programme. Their choice reflects course relevance and our commitment nurturing future biotech leaders”. Dr Arun Dev Sharma, HOD Biotechnology, highlighted that Govt of India is also emphasizing students to pursue carrier in this filed as the next industry revolution will be biotechnology driven. He also welcomed the meritorious students stating “We take immense pride in having these bright young minds choose our biotechnology program and they perfectly align with our dept mission to cultivate the next generation biotech innovator’s. With our advanced curriculum, research driven approach, we are confident that they will immerge as leaders in this transformative filed”.
