Students of PG Department of Music of Lyallpur Khalsa College prepared new Raag Bandish

Jalandhar: The students of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar are excelling in the field of art as well as academic studies. Arvinder Singh, a student of Music Department, sang and Harjot Singh composed a new band of Raag Bihag through the juggling of Sarangi. The track of this Raag Bandish was released by Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra and Prof. Sukhdev Singh, Head of P.G. Department of Music. Principal Dr. Samra said that we are proud that our students are making new strides in the field of music. He also said that student artist Harjot Singh is the National Winner in Sarangi Instrument in Youth Festival while Arvinder Singh is the winner of Classical Vocal in North Zone. He said that both the student artists are experts in their field. He said that due to the high class performances of the skilled and talented students, college wins the trophies at the higher levels in youth festivals. Only such talented students create a unique identity of the college. Prof. Sukhdev Singh, Head, P.G. Department of Music, informed that the track is presented by R.S. Studio. He also thanked Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra to provide all possible assistance to the music department from time to time. On this occasion, Dr. Palwinder Singh Dean, Cultural Affairs and Prof. Ankush Gill were also present.
