Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts participate in Dance Competition “Nrityanjali”

Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts participate in Dance Competition “Nrityanjali” 

Jalandhar: The students of P.G. Department of Dance of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar participated in Dance Competition “Nrityanjali” organized by Kristu Jayanti College, Bengaluru on the occasion of International Dance Day.

After qualifying the preliminary round successfully, the students presented their performances for the second round and won cash prizes and made their college proud.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra appreciated the consistent efforts of the students as well as their teachers who did not let the pandemic be a hurdle in their process of learning.  She motivated them to utilize their time productively and keep participating in such activities in future as well.

She congratulated the department of Dance for guiding the students towards sparkling success.

The results are as follows:- 
•    Mayuri Muskaan, M.A. (Dance) Sem 4 and Asmita Gupta, M.A. (Dance) Sem 2 bagged 1st prize in Duet Classical Kathak.
•    Aditi Mittal, M.A. (Dance) Sem 2 bagged 2nd prize in Solo Kathak. 
•    Hiten, B.Voc. (Dance) Sem 2 and Palak, B.Voc. (Dance) Sem 6 bagged 1st prize in Duet Eastern. 
•    Hiten, B.Voc. (Dance) Sem 2 and Sakshi, B.Voc. (Dance) Sem 4 bagged 1st prize in Duet Folk. 
•    Palak, B.Voc (Dance) Sem 4 and Hiten, B.Voc. (Dance) Sem 2 bagged 1st prize of in Retro Duet.
•    Palak, B.Voc (Dance) Sem 4 bagged 1st prize and Hiten, B.Voc. (Dance) bagged 2nd prize in Eastern Solo.
