Students enthralled at Beat-2-Beat in Apeejay School

Jalandhar, April 29, 2022: World Dance Day was celebrated with great zeal and fervour at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar. Under the able guidance of Principal, Sangeeta Nistandra, a Talent Hunt Competition , ‘Beat-2-Beat’  was organized in the school. 

Students of classes IV to X presented different dance forms on stage and mesmerized the audience with their performances. Dance teacher, Ms. Shama paid a special tribute to the rich dance heritage of the country by performing Natti, Haryanavi, Rajasthani and Classical form of dances on stage. Continuing with the colourful and musical celebrations, Simran Kahlon of class IX presented the reasons behind celebrating the day in her talk. Students and teachers thoroughly enjoyed the foot tapping music along with exquisite dance forms. Harshpreet Kaur (Class IX) bagged the first position whereas Mannat (Class VI) stood second and Shagunpreet Kaur (Class V) and Divyansha (Class VI) secured third position in the competition. Pratham Soni and Arpanpreet Kaur of Class VI bagged the consolation prize.

Principal, Sangeeta Nistandra applauded the efforts of the students and said that dance is an art form which helps in expressing the emotions of life and relaxes the mind, body and the soul.
