Strict Action to Be Taken Against Cheating and Aiding Cheating in Board Examinations: DC Sachin Gupta

Rohtak, February 24, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta made it unequivocally clear that any attempt to indulge in or facilitate unfair means during the upcoming Haryana Board examinations will invite strict legal action. He emphasised that ensuring transparent, peaceful and malpractice-free examinations remains a top priority of the district administration.

The Deputy Commissioner was addressing a meeting of administrative officers convened to review arrangements for the smooth conduct of the board examinations. He stated that any individual found disrupting the examination process—either inside or outside the examination centers—will be proceeded against firmly, including registration of FIRs, as was done in previous years.

Calling upon parents, guardians and village residents, the Deputy Commissioner urged them to actively cooperate with the administration and discourage students from resorting to unfair practices. He emphasised that collective social responsibility is essential to uphold the sanctity of the examination system and protect the future of students.

The Deputy Commissioner informed that:
• A total of 45 examination centers have been established across the district
• Examinations will be conducted from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM
• Robust monitoring mechanisms have been put in place to ensure strict compliance

For effective supervision, senior HCS officers and police officers have been deployed as flying squads, who will conduct surprise inspections during examination hours.

Clear instructions have been issued that:
• No unauthorised person will be allowed entry into examination centres
• All staff deployed on duty must carry valid identity cards
• Mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth devices and other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside examination centers, except with the Centre Superintendent

The Deputy Commissioner further directed that basic facilities for examinees must be ensured at all centers, and any deficiency be addressed immediately.

To maintain order and prevent external interference, prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita have been enforced:
• No assembly of five or more persons within a 100-metre radius of examination centres
• Carrying of weapons is prohibited
• Photocopy shops, printing presses, duplicating facilities and cyber cafés within the restricted zone will remain closed during examination hours

The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that the district administration remains fully committed to conducting examinations in a fair, transparent and disturbance-free environment, ensuring equal opportunity for all students.
