State-level Haryana Day celebration in Panchkula from November 1st to 3rd
The Haryana government will organize a state-level Haryana Day celebration from November 1st to 3rd, 2025, at the Yavanika Ground in Sector 5, Panchkula, to commemorate the state's foundation day.
Rohtak, October 28, 2025: The Haryana government will organize a state-level Haryana Day celebration from November 1st to 3rd, 2025, at the Yavanika Ground in Sector 5, Panchkula, to commemorate the state's foundation day.
Haryana Governor Asim Kumar Ghosh will inaugurate the three-day festival. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will also be present. State ministers, senior officials, artists, and a large number of citizens will also be present.
Sharing this information, CM's OSD, (Publicity) and Director Kala Parishad, Gajendra Phogat, said that this will be a unique and first-of-its-kind event showcasing the glorious traditions of Haryana in one place. Speaking to the media, Phogat said that during the celebration, students from colleges across the state will participate in group dance and ragini competitions. Cash prizes worth lakhs of rupees will be awarded to outstanding participants. The first prize will be one lakh rupees. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will present the awards to the winners on November 3rd. DIPRO Sanjeev Kumar was also present on the occasion.
OSD Phogat said that a heritage exhibition will also be held in the Yavanika Garden, Sector 5, Panchkula, showcasing Haryana's traditional culture, clothing, agricultural equipment, folk art, and handicrafts. The exhibition aims to connect the new generation with the state's cultural roots. Stalls showcasing traditional Haryana cuisine will also be set up at the festival venue, where visitors can enjoy the taste of Haryanvi folk dishes. Desi ghee-bura, bajra roti, mustard greens, chutney, and many other traditional dishes will be on offer.
Additionally, a special Haryanvi turban (Khandwa) stall will be set up, where citizens can get their own turbans tied. Phogat said that guests and citizens arriving at the venue will be welcomed with the melodious sounds of the flute, drum, tumba, dhol, and other folk instruments. The entire campus will exude a unique touch of folk culture.
He added that any government/private college in the state can participate in this event and send its students to the song/ragini/group dance competition. Online applications can be submitted at artandculturalaffairshry.gov.in/state-level-haryanvi-traditional-folk-song-ragini-competition/. Offline applications will also be accepted on the spot. The same rules as the Youth Festival will apply to this competition. Only one team from each college will be allowed to participate in the group dance and singing competition.
