Stark Failure of AAP to Check Gangsters Exposed: Tarun Chugh

Chandigarh, April 10, 2026: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh today said that the complete failure of the Bhagwant Mann government to curb gangster culture in Punjab stands exposed. He added that the state government’s announcement of public rewards to help catch gangsters is a shameful reflection on the functioning of the law and order machinery.
Chugh said that gangsters are being patronised under the AAP government, which has consistently shown reluctance in taking decisive action to eliminate them from the state.
He said this is a shocking reflection of the collapse of law and order in Punjab.
Chugh further said that a government which has to announce cash rewards for citizens to catch gangsters has clearly failed in its primary duty.
Questioning the efficiency of the law enforcement agencies, Chugh said that instead of ensuring public safety, the entire system appears to be busy serving political masters.
Under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab has become a flourishing ground for gangsters and mafias.
Chugh said Punjab deserves far better than this state of insecurity and ineffective governance.
