Jalandhar, October 28, 2025: The Career Counselling and Placement Cell of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, organized a special lecture on “How to Prepare for Competitive Exams.” The event aimed to guide students on effective preparation strategies and boost their confidence for various competitive examinations.
The guest speaker, Dr. Ajitpal Singh from the Department of Political Science, shared valuable insights on preparing for exams such as UPSC, SSC, PCS, and NET. He emphasized the importance of a well-planned study schedule, time management, regular practice, self-discipline, and a thorough understanding of the syllabus. He also stressed the need for consistent revision to maintain a competitive edge.
Addressing the students, Principal Prof. Navdeep Kaur highlighted that in today’s competitive era, students must develop not only academic excellence but also confidence, resilience, and ethical values. She appreciated the Career Counselling and Placement Cell for its dedicated efforts toward student growth and career awareness.
Dr. Charanjit Singh, Convener of the Cell, shared details of the Cell’s ongoing activities related to career development, interview preparation, and skill enhancement. He encouraged students to actively participate in such initiatives to strengthen their personal and professional profiles.
The event was skillfully anchored by Dr. Sukhdev Singh Nagra from the Department of Punjabi, ensuring an engaging and well-coordinated program. Prof. Ratnakar Mann from the Department of Computer Science was also present on the occasion.
More than 120 students enthusiastically participated in the lecture, gaining valuable insights into effective exam preparation strategies. The session proved to be highly informative and motivational, inspiring students to plan their career paths with renewed focus and determination.
