Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Punia, while paying floral tribute to Dr. Ambedkar, said that the architect of the Indian Constitution Baba Saheb Ambedkar envisioned a casteless and equitable society. The Constitution is the soul of the people, and social justice must begin in the classroom, he asserted, underlining the pivotal role of education in shaping an inclusive society.
He emphasized that Dr. Ambedkar ensured equal rights and opportunities for all sections, making the Indian Constitution one of the finest in the world. Calling his ideas highly relevant in today’s times, Prof. Punia urged students and teachers to imbibe his values in practice, not just in theory.
Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal highlighted that Dr. Ambedkar placed education and equality at the core of nation-building, and his vision continues to guide society. A documentary on Dr. Ambedkar’s life was screened, and the Vice-Chancellor also planted a sapling, giving a message of environmental responsibility.
